Discipline Policy
Students are expected to follow school and classroom rules. Students that make a sincere effort at this will help create the atmosphere needed to accomplish the mission of the school, which includes developing socially responsible, life-long learners. Each night students planners need to be initialed and the students’ behavior color will be present.

3. Be Responsible
4. Follow directions the first time.
5. Use kid words
6. Honor the Speaker
7. Hands, feet and other objects to yourself
8. Use materials correctly
Following expectations earns positive kickboard points. The points are turned into money at the end of the month that students can purchase rewards from the school store.

Pink: Role Model
Purple: Great effort
Blue: Good Work
Green: Ready to learn (every child starts there day here)
Yellow: Slow down
Orange: Think about it
Red: Oh no stop
Minor Behaviors:
If your child chooses to break a rule and it is a minor offense, he or she will change their clip on the chart as follows:
1st Offense: Student will receive a warning/correction (Negative kickboard point)
2nd Offense: Student will have time to think in the think chair to. (Move their clip down to slow down/yellow, negative kick board point)
3rd Offense: Student will call parent and serve 15 minute lunch detention (loss of privilege). (Move their clip down to think about it/orange, negative kickboard point)
4th Offense: Student will receive an office minor behavior referral and a 10 –minute immediate in-class suspension in another room. Student will fill out a “think slip” to reflect on their behavior (move their clip down to Oh no! stop/red, negative kick board point)
5th Offense: Student will go to office with a major referral and Parent/Teacher Conference (-5 kickboard points)
Major Behaviors:
A major behavior referral occurs when 3 minor behavior referrals have been issued OR when the offense is major, such as being inappropriate or bullying others. An administrator will review and give the consequence for major behavior referrals.
